Finally…….we can say, with much pleasure that our hen(s) have laid their first egg!!!
Yes……I know for those who think it might be boring news, this might to you, but the kids are egg-static!! Ha! (Sorry! Couldn’t resist!)
So, thanks to Clare from Spring Cottage Farm (Good plug for you there!) we are really loving our hens!!
And for anyone else who thinks…should we? Shouldn’t we? Go for it! It’s well worth it!

Comment: Yesterday evening we were shown around by the friendly & very knowledgeable owner who helped us select 4 chickens to join our 8 free range hens. We were even given a 'Starter Pack' of different coloured eggs! - Thank you so much The new girls have settled in well and are now roaming within the electric fencing in half an acre of paddock.
