We bought a small flock of Jacob sheep, with the intention of breeding on to increase the flock and having the occasional excess ram for meat. They are very hardy and have lambed very easily outdoors.
Later this year we will borrow a neighbours ram, and start tupping the traditional way at Bonfire night, this will ensure that lambing will begin again from April 1st, as it did this year. |
