We always wanted to be able to produce our own meat to a standard that we knew was not guaranteed to be available in the supermarkets. So when the opportunity came for us to run Spring Cottage Farm near Petersfield in Hampshire we were very keen to be able to offer that level of quality of meat produce to other people. We are entirely self sufficient now in meat and eggs, our next challenge is to expand our vegetable growing to be able to open a 'part-time' farm shop (albeit on a small scale!).
